The Georgia Leadership Institute in partnership with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government is focused on building the State's bench strength of future leaders at all career phases, as well as expanding the breadth of our current leaders' competencies and skills.

Principle-Centered, Customer-Focused, and Results-Driven leadership forms the foundation of the Georgia Leadership Institute. Our goal is to develop current and future generations of Georgia State Government leaders, who are positioned to meet the global challenges of today and tomorrow.

Partnering with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government

Due to the Carl Vinson Institute’s tremendous success with the Executive Leadership Program, the Georgia Leadership Institute (GLI) has partnered with the Carl Vinson Institute to administer and deliver three additional GLI programs. Beginning in March 2008, the Carl Vinson Institute will deliver the Leading Organizations, Leading Others and Introduction to Leadership Programs. Moreover, because the Carl Vinson Institute is part of the University of Georgia, participants who complete these programs will now receive continuing education units.
