Work Away is a statewide initiative that encourages telework and work scheduling options for eligible employees. Telework offers employees a more productive working environment with fewer distractions. Both telework and scheduling options have been shown to result in better job performance, improved job satisfaction and employee morale, and a reduction in absenteeism and sick leave usage. Work Away options also help retain valued employees and recruit top quality people while "Improving the Quality of Life for All Georgians."
