2012 Meeting Dates For State Personnel Board

The State Personnel Board is responsible for determining the appropriate statewide human resource management goals, ensuring that policies and rules are in place to effectuate such goals, and reviewing adverse personnel actions as the Board deems appropriate. By virtue of their appointments to the Board, members also serve on the 10-member Employee Benefits Plan Council. The Council works to provide a variety of quality and affordable flexible benefit options for more than 130,000 state and participating public school and regional library system employees and their dependents.

All meetings will be held in Room 512 of the West Tower, James "Sloppy" Floyd Veterans' Memorial Building begining at 10:00 a.m.

Please note that these meetings are tentatively scheduled pending any agenda items. Changes and/or cancellation of a meeting will be posted in advance of the scheduled meeting.

Board Members

Hal Roach, Jr.	Hal Roach, Jr., Chairman, State Personnel Board, is an attorney and partner in the law firm Hal Roach, Jr., P.E. He is chairman of the Advisory Board of directors of the Statesboro Branch of Park Avenue Bank and serves as a member of the Bulloch county Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Roach and his wife, Susan have three grown children.
Robert Joseph	Robert "Rob" R. Joseph, Vice Chairman, State Personnel Board, is an attorney with Hill Kertscher Y Wharton, LLP. He previously served as a senior associate for Morris, Manning and Martin, LLP. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, a member of the executive committee of the Atlanta Lawyers Chapter of Federalist Society and a member of the Druid Hills United Methodist Church. Joseph earned a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College and a law degree from Emory University. He is married to Leslie Joseph.
David J. Blevins	David J. Blevins, Member, State Personnel Board, is a resident of Cohutta and principal of David J. Blevins, P.C., has practiced law in Dalton since 1985. He serves on the board of directors of the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation and is a member of Grove Level Baptist Church. Blevins holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee, and a law degree from the University of Georgia.
Albert M. Hodge, Jr.	Albert M. Hodge, Jr., Member, State Personnel Board, is a resident of Rome and president and CEO of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce in Floyd County. He is also the former vice-chair of the Georgia Board of Education and has served as president of the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Georgia Economic Developers Association. Hodge is a previous board member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association and the U.S. Department of Energy Citizen’s Leadership Board. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management.
Robert Curtis “Curt” Moore,	Robert Curtis “Curt” Moore, Member, State Personnel Board, who is currently retired after 38 years in insurance management, is the former executive director of the Lumpkin county Water and Sewerage Authority and the Economic Development Team of the Lumpkin County Development Authority. He is a member of the Salvation Army Board, the Volunteer Good News Clinic, and the First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Moore is the past president of the Georgia Tech Club and past chairman of the Lumpkin County GOP.
