Succession Planning is a systematic process of identifying and developing candidates for key leadership and professional positions in an organization. These "high potential" candidates must be carefully selected and trained to develop the skills and competencies needed for organizational success. The State Personnel Administration provides consultative services to assist Georgia’s agencies in their Succession Planning efforts. We are proud to support the State’s workforce as employees work to ensure as Georgia grows, our citizens are healthy, educated, and safe. We recognize the road to becoming the Best Managed State in the Nation will be paved by our workforce, and we are here to help.
