Welcome to the Georgia Merit System's Online Faithful Service Awards System
The Faithful Service Awards Program was established by the Georgia General Assembly to help attract
and retain employees by recognizing their service to the citizens of the state of Georgia. Through
this program, approximately 13,000 state employees are recognized annually,
beginning with five years of total service and every five years thereafter.
The Georgia Merit System is responsible for administering the program for
Georgia state government. This includes maintaining service award records
for all state employees and producing service awards each month, which are
distributed to state employees through their departmental personnel offices.
To make the program more accessible to departmental service
award coordinators, the Georgia Merit System has provided online access to the
Faithful Service Awards Program, which makes it possible for departmental
service award coordinators to:
- view employee service award records
- update monthly Error Lists
- produce reports listing past and future awards
